eComp Consultants instrumental in Nuance v. Tellme (a Microsoft subsidiary) patent litigation.
Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler retained consultants Ivan Zatkovich and Virginia Lee as consulting and testifying experts in connection with the defense of a significant patent litigation on behalf of Tellme Networks, a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation. The technology in this case related to speech recognition and call center automation.
eComp Consultants was instrumental in assisting the firm with their invalidity and noninfringement defenses. eComp thoroughly researched and provided thoughtful analyses of the issues in the case, submitted expert reports and provided compelling deposition testimony.
Chad J. Peterman, partner at Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler stated “We always found eComp Consultants to be easy to work with. Mr. Zatkovich and Ms. Lee are very knowledgeable about the litigation process and understand the demands of litigation from discovery to trial.”
In addition, Mr. Peterman stated “With the assistance of eComp Consultants, we ultimately prevailed on summary judgment of patent invalidity based on anticipation and obviousness. Needless to say, we are very pleased with the work performed by eComp Consultants and would consider retaining them for future cases.”
eComp Consultants is proud to be part of the team that brought this case to completion. If you would like more information about our services and how we can support your litigation efforts, please contact Norm Tanguay at 813-447-1014.
